Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1:
ROUTING: BUDAPEST
- Your English-speaking driver will pick you up from Budapest Airport and take
you to your hotel
- Check in hotel
- Enjoy a guided tour to become familiar with a city on arrival. Highlights of
the tour: Heroes♠Square/Millenary Monument, Vajdahunyad Castle, Andrássy
Boulevard, Opera House, St. Stephenâ™s Basilica-interior visit, House of
Parliament (optional interior visit), panorama-view from Gellért Hill, Castle
Quarter, Matthias Church-interior visit, panorama view from the Fishermen's
Bastion. (Optional Parliament-visit, closed on Mondays)

Day 2:
ROUTING: BUDAPEST - PANNONHALMA - HEREND - BALATONFURED
- Breakfast
- Today we will head west, Towards Lake Balaton
- Guided tour in Pannonhalma including a visit to the Millenary
Benedictine Abbey
- After the world famous Porcelain Manufacture of Herend
- Then you will have free time for lunch
- Arrival to Balatonfured, view of the Lake Balaton
- Evening at your leisure
- Overnight in Balatonfured

Day 3:
ROUTING: TIHANY - SIKLOS - PECS - VILLANY - PECS
- Breakfast
- Today we will explore the South of Hungary
- Drive to Siklós (Historic castle and fort, Turkish monument)
- Visit to the Early Christian Necropolis of Pecs , city tour, visit to the
Csontvary Koszta paintings, Cathedral, Museum of the Zsolnay Porcelain and
Ceramics Factory
- Villany: country of the cellars and high quality wines, visit to the canteen
of the golden medal priced Bock House and wine tasting
- Overnight in Pecs

Day 4:
ROUTING: PECS - PAKS - BUDAPEST
- Breakfast
- After this tour drive back to Budapest
- On the way back stop for a photo of the interesting style of Paks Church (Makovecz
design)
- Drop off at Budapest airport, train station or hotel in city centre

Day 5:
ROUTING: BUDAPEST - DANUBE BEND - BUDAPEST
- Breakfast
- Full day excursion to the Danube Bend (8 hours)
- Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre are the chain of towns of archbishops,
kings and artists in the Danube Bend. Esztergom is the birthplace of the first
Hungarian king of St. Stephen. The town is well-known also about its medieval
Royal Residence/museum. Visit the Basilica and the Christian Museum. Lunch in a
hunting-style-restaurant in Visegrád.Visit the Citadel on the top of the hill.
This former Royal Palace was built in Renaissance style by King Matthias in the
15th century. There is a beautiful view to the Danube Bend where the River
breaks through the hills. Szentendre is a picturesque town of artists, museums
and churches built in a Mediterranean & baroque style. Visit the unique museums
of the town: Kovács Margit Ceramic Museum and Marcipan Museum.
In summer the tour can be completed with a return regular boat cruise on the
River Danube from Szentendre to Budapest. Highlights of the trip: Margaret
Bridge, Margaret-Island, House of Parliament, Chain Bridge, Matthias Church,
Fishermen♠Bastion, the former Royal Palace, Elisabeth Bridge, Gellért Hill on
top with the Citadel and the Liberation Monument.

Day 6:
ROUTING: BUDAPEST - TOKAJ
- Visit to the Royal
Castle and Lazar Horse Park with horse show and lunch with local specialties

- Ending the day in the wine region of Tokaj
- Tonight you will stay in a castle hotel situated in Tarcal near Miskolc in
Northern Hungary, in the heart of the world heritage Tokaj wine-region. The
hotel used to be an old mansion surrounded by a beautiful, huge park. On the
first floor of the hotel the library and saloon are equipped with antique pieces
of furniture, antique books, old paintings, chandeliers and a fireplace. The
rooms are furnished in Empire-stlye.

Day 7:
ROUTING: TOKAJ WINE REGION
- Breakfast
- Visit to the
historic town of Eger with the Fort and Museum for the heroic battle against the
Ottomans, Cathedral, Baroque town center, Ottoman Minaret
- Wine tasting of the famous Bulls Blood red wine of this region
- Drive to the famous TOKAJ Wine region area and historic cultural landscape
area
- Visit to a historic wine cellar, professional wine tasting
- Return to Eger
- Evening at your leisure
- Overnight in Tarcal
